Contact Lens Practitioners and Optometrists

Can't wear lenses

THINK YOU CAN'T WEAR CONTACTS?
THINK YOUR EYES ARE TOO COMPLICATED?
THINK AGAIN!

We are THE SPECIALISTS!

That's why many Opticians who fit Contacts refer all their complex patients to The Contact Lens Practice! Whatever your error of vision: 30 dioptres of spherical error or more,11 dioptres of Astigmatism or more, WE can fit you with Contacts - even with Bifocals or Varifocals!

Glasses or Laser Surgery usually will NEVER give as perfect vision as Contact Lenses!

You may have been told you can't wear them.

You may have tried before with a NON-specialist!

You may believe your eyes TOO dry for contacts - this is hardly ever true if you visit a really experienced specialist with a big enough range of lenses! For patients who have a tendency to dry eyes we strongly recommend products from the CLINITAS range ( see www.clinitas.info ).

If excesively dry eyed the use of nutritional supplements such as vitamins, minerals and Evening Primrose can often be of great help (see our Fact Sheet on Dry Eyes)

For a genuinely dry eyed patient one of the latest generation of ultra comfortable rigid Oxygen Permeable Contacts will usually prove successful. This is because these lenses don't contain tears like soft lenses but simply 'float' gently on the pre-corneal tear layer. We're fitting hundreds of patients with these new lens designs and many find them even more comfortable than soft lenses.

Whether it be Soft or Rigid lenses we ultimately choose for you we'll prove you can enjoy the real FREEDOM of life without glasses (or the risks of surgery) - and  to show our confidence ,if we're ever wrong, we refund fees! What more can you ask?

Since we opened in 1973 our specialisation has earned us the reputation for problem solving with both patients and colleagues alike - many Opticians only fit one or two 'off the peg' branded lenses which don't work for everyone. As a result many Opticians refer their more interesting or difficult patients directly to us because they know that, with our experience and equipment, we can fit patients, which are outside their limitations. Unfortunately, in an increasingly commercial World knowledge that such a practice as ours exists does not reach everyone!

Because we major in contact lenses we are fitting literally hundreds of different types hence our claim to be able to fit virtually anyone - and the unusual reassurance of a refund if we really can't!

Many of the lenses we choose for the best results we design to such exact parameters that they have to be custom made just for you - a skill which, with so many one fit lenses swamping the market, appears to be slowly dying out!
Obviously without a full consultation we can't give definitive advice but, with sufficient background knowledge, we can often offer informed guidance and reassurance.

If you wish to complete as much of our detailed questionnaire as is feasible we will be pleased to contact you if we feel we can offer any opinions or suggestions.
